Yes you are not hallucinating. I was driving down Central (formerly Historic route 66) in Albuquerque the other day and thought someone was having a garage sale in a metered space right in the midst of the busy university area. Whoa! There was a large statue of a white duck out there that I just could not shake. So I backtracked around several blocks, parked at the Frontier and walked out there. What I found was this . Set up by some graduate landscape architecture students participating in a national program to turn parking meter spaces into parks. I putted several balls on the little putting green, marveled at the site and left.Saturday, September 27, 2008
